Wall Shelves & Climbers
Cat wall shelves, steps and climbers turn a bare wall into a climbing route without using any floor space. They’re the most space-efficient way to give an indoor cat somewhere to climb, perch and watch the room, which makes them ideal for studios and one-bedroom apartments. Mix shelves, steps and a sisal climber to build a route that suits your wall and your cat. Every product lists its size, spacing and weight limit, and ships free across the contiguous US.

How to plan and install cat wall shelves
Plan the route before you drill. Tape paper cut-outs to the wall to test the layout. Keep each step within a comfortable jump for your cat, and make sure the route has a clear way up and a clear way down. A zigzag with a landing at the top works well on most walls.
Mount into studs whenever you can. Wall shelves carry a moving, jumping cat, not just a static load. Use a stud finder and screw into the studs. Where there’s no stud, use wall anchors rated well above the product’s maximum weight. Never rely on adhesive strips.
Check the weight limit. Each product lists its maximum load in Specs. Stay within it, especially if more than one cat will use the same shelf at once.
Renting? Small screw holes are usually easy to fill when you move out, but check your lease first. Shelves that reuse the same holes for a whole route reduce the number of holes you need.
Check it regularly. Every few weeks, make sure the screws are tight and nothing has shifted.
